Pawculate ("we," "our," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website at pawculate.com.

1. Information we collect

We collect almost no personal information. Pawculate calculators run entirely in your browser (client-side JavaScript). No data you enter into any calculator — including your pet's weight, age, breed, or health details — is transmitted to any server or stored anywhere outside your device.

The only data stored on your device is your theme preference (light or dark mode), saved in your browser's localStorage. This contains no personal information and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

If you choose to use our contact form, the name, email, and message you submit are sent directly to our email inbox at [email protected] via a third-party form-relay service (FormSubmit). We use this information solely to respond to your message and do not add you to any mailing list.

2. Cookies

Pawculate does not set any first-party cookies. The only browser storage we use is localStorage for your theme preference. If we add advertising in the future (see section 4), advertising partners may set cookies, and we will update this policy and provide a consent mechanism before doing so.

3. Analytics

We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service (such as Google Analytics 4 or Plausible) to understand aggregate site usage — which pages are most visited, general country-level location, and device type. If enabled, analytics data is anonymised and does not identify individual users. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's official Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Advertising

Pawculate may display advertising in the future to cover hosting and development costs. If we display ads served by Google AdSense or a similar network, those networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads relevant to you based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google's Ads Settings or via aboutads.info. We will not place advertising that misrepresents itself as calculator output.

5. Third-party services

Other than the analytics and form-relay services described above, Pawculate does not integrate with any third-party advertising networks, social media trackers, or data brokers. We do not sell, rent, or share user data with anyone.

6. Children's privacy

Pawculate is a general-audience website and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because our calculators collect no personal information from any user, COPPA compliance is satisfied by design.

7. External links

Our pages may contain links to external websites such as veterinary sources cited in our content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we collect almost no personal data, most data-subject rights (deletion, export, correction) do not have anything to act on. If you have emailed us via the contact form and would like that email deleted, simply email [email protected] and we will delete the thread.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Pawculate after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
